The BWe Teen Summit, presented by Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. – Southeast Region, targets youth between the ages of 13-19.  We have set up a full day of activities for the students to participate in thought-provoking seminars that empower and enlighten youth to become critical thinkers, responsible citizens, embrace cultures within their communities and much more!  Students will have a chance to meet new friends, connect with local celebrities, ask questions about future educational & career options, meet a bevy of corporate leaders, business owners and much more!

Participating students will receive a book bag full of back to school supplies and will have the opportunity to see a live performance by Atlanta’s own, Miss Mulatto!

Let’s get healthy in 2018!  In this session you will learn how to MAKE time to eat healthy and exercise.  Trudie will teach attendees how to incorporate health and fitness into their busy day to day lifestyles.  Attendees will also learn quick topics on remaining healthy and fit while on the go.

Believe it or not, success is not overnight, next month and probably not event the next 2 years for that matter!  Every aspiring entrepreneur needs to know “The Real” before all cards are dealt.  This session is for all aspiring and new entrepreneurs, as Leia Avery discusses the hidden truths behind entrepreneurship, typical issues entrepreneurs usually face and how to overcome those challenges.

Escaping the Mediocrity Trap: Strategies Maximizing Your Unique Gifts & Talents
Speaker: Dr. Marquita Blade

Many professionals have fallen out of love with their jobs. It’s not that they dislike what they do, they just dislike where/when/how it’s being done, causing them to underperform. This is called the Mediocrity Trap(c). In this interactive workshop, attendees will learn how to identify their top three areas of intelligence and how they relate to their unique gifts and talents. Dr. Blades will show attendees how they can maximize these gifts and talents to re-ignite their passions and help them enjoy they do again.
